Water Nobel Prize for Prof Bloeschl

Prof. Blöschl also received the Neptune State Prize for Water 2025 special award from the Austrian Federal Agency of Water Management that celebrated its 30-year anniversary on 30 June 2025. To learn more: [more]
Prof. Blöschl was one of the 19 national champions of the Frontiers Planet Prize 2025. As part of “Earth Day” on 22 April 2025, the paper entitled “Megafloods in Europe can be anticipated from observations in hydrologically similar catchments” (Nature Geoscience, 2023) was awarded the Frontiers Planet Prize by an international jury.
