Marianne is interested in developing and optimizing measurement techniques for quantitative temperature imaging in water. Her work focuses on optical methods based on temperature-dependent luminescence, enabling two-dimensional temperature measurements. These techniques will be applied to the study of geophysical flows.
 

Key Facts

Marianne completed her studies in mechanical engineering at INSA Lyon, France. During her degree, she spent a semester at DTU, Denmark, undertook a six-month internship in mechanical design at in France, and completed a three-month internship in numerical modelling of temperature-induced density currents at TU Wien, Austria.
